The Kapi'olani Asia Pacific Emphasis (KAPE). If you have ever wondered who is behind the International Education Week and the annual highlight of the spring semester known as the International Festival, it is none other than the hard working faculty of the Kapi'olani Asia-Pacific Emphasis. Faculty members of the KAPE committee recognize the importance of their responsibility to provide the able leadership necessary to guide our faculty, staff, students and members of the community towards a better understanding of our Pacific and Asian neighbors. KAPE therefore works closely with many of the departments on campus to strengthen and increase both intra-campus cooperation and to foster international institutional linkages through its many important and significant activities throughout the semester.
