Practical Nursing Program

In an announcement from the Nursing Department Chair on May 24, 2006- The Nursing Department will not be accepting applications to the Practical Nursing Program for the class of 2007.

Due to changing industry standards and employment needs of our state, practical nurses are primarily employed in long-term care facilities, home health care, and outpatient clinics.

The Nursing Department will be revising its practical Nursing Program curriculum in 2006-2007. We will be updating the curriculum to prepare its Practical Nursing students for employment in long term care and community based facilities.
