Japanese Brush Painting: Sumie

Experience Sumie! Utilize your “Ki” energy and become one with your brush. This Zen art form instills a sense of tranquility and peace of mind. Capture the essence of nature through painting plants, scenery, and more. Absolute beginners are welcome. Enjoy learning many brush techniques through this hands-on class. You are responsible for supplies.

Instructor: Hirotaka Sato, MFA from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music (Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku). Sato is also a Zen Buddhist priest.
