Introduction to Belly Dancing |
|
Have fun and get in some good exercise while learning the history, culture, and basic techniques of belly dance. Focus on the contrast of fluid movements versus isolations and contractions. All ages welcome. Wear a fitted or crop top and drawstring or pull on pants that allow for movement. Bring a scarf to tie around the hips and a towel. Dancing is done barefoot. Limited enrollment! Apply early. |
| Instructor: Dance artist and instructor Willow Chang creates a safe learning environment that promotes the diversity and cultural applications of dance. Since completion of her degree in Dance, she has been in demand locally and nationally, performing and teaching abroad including in Egypt and Greece. As current president of MEDAH, the Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawai'i, she is involved extensively in promoting awareness, appreciation, and education concerning Middle Eastern and related dance forms. Come join this exciting and invigorating class! |
