Hawaiian Culture: Introduction to Ukulele Building

Learn the basic skills of ukulele construction by building a standard (soprano) ukulele from a kit. Kits may be purchased during the first session for $175, payable to the instructor. This is a hands-on course, but no wood-working experience is necessary. All of the required tools and supplies will be provided with the kits or made available during class time.

Instructor: Paul Okami is the shop manager of KoAloha Ukulele. He currently oversees the shop’s daily operations, job scheduling, and training. He has crafted custom instruments for various recording artists, including the four-time Grammy Award Winning Daniel Ho.
