TAIKO

Kenny Endo and the instructors of the Taiko Center of the Pacific teach you traditional and contemporary Japanese drumming.  Choose from classes for children and adults in the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels.  This fall, FAMILY TAIKO is being reinstated by popular request.. There are two seven-week sessions in Fall 2008:  Session I – September 4 to October 21, 2008 and Session II – October 23 to December 11, 2008.  Sessions are $88 for youth classes and $100 for adult classes.   Please wear comfortable clothing to all classes.  Bring Taiko sticks (available at the first class meeting for $12).  A bottle of water for your own consumption is optional.  Indoor foot wear is also recommended and available for sale on the first day of class.  Enrollment is limited.


Adult Beginning Taiko I (Ages 13-Adult)

For students ages 13 to adult, who have little or no experience with Taiko. Basic form, rhythms, movement, philosophy, centering, and balance are emphasized. Practice ensemble pieces, bon odori drumming are introduced. Enrollment is limited. Repeating Level I is recommended.
