Ayurveda in Everyday Life (New Class!) |
| In this ten week course you will receive a basic overview of Ayurveda, the ancient healing art of India known as the science of life or art of living. Most importantly you will learn how to apply its universal principles to your daily life with emphasis on food, breath and sound and how to cleanse and rejuvenate your body and calm and balance your mind. You will learn how to use local foods, herbs and spices according to the theory of the five elements, three doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) and seven dathus (body tissues) and how to live in tune with daily and seasonal rhythms of nature.

| Instructor: Yordana Mir, physical therapist, massage therapist, ayurvedic health practitioner and laughter yoga teacher. Yordana studied Ayurveda with Swamini Mayatitananda (Maya Tiwari) in her Wise Earth School of Ayurveda in North Carolina. She experienced Ayurvedic Pancha Karma cleansing and rejuvenating therapies at KAPL teaching hospital in Kerala, India and received personal instruction and practical knowledge at hospital’s teaching facility. Yordana is a graduate of the Aloha Ayurveda Academy in Honolulu. |
