TAIKO

Kenny Endo and the instructors of the Taiko Center of the Pacific teach you traditional and contemporary Japanese drumming. Choose from classes for children and adults in the Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. This summer, we offer one six-week long session of Taiko for all ages and all skill levels. Session fees are $72 for youth classes and $87 for adult classes. Please wear comfortable clothing to all classes. Bring Taiko sticks (available to beginners at the first class meeting for $12). A bottle of water for your own consumption is optional. Indoor footwear is also recommended and available for sale on the first day of class. Enrollment is limited.

Note: No refunds will be given unless requested three business days before the first day of class.

Youth Intermediate Taiko (Ages 5-17)

Open to youth who have successfully completed Beginning Taiko II or have a background in Taiko. The class covers the basic form, exercises, movement, philosophy, centering, and balance. Practice pieces, bass pattern exercises, and soloing are developed. Enrollment is limited.
