The Arts & Sciences Language and Culture program offers Japanese, Chinese, and Italian language and culture classes (Italian will start up again in Fall). Classes are available for every level of learner – from beginning to advanced, and are offered on weeknights and weekends. Level 1 classes are five weeks, while Level 2+ classes are 10 weeks. Participants receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of each class. Textbooks are listed, but are not available through KCC and must be purchased from an outside source (e.g., Borders-591-8995, Barnes & Noble-737-3323/949-7307, or amazon.com). The cost of the textbook is not included in the course fee. This class is a continuation of Level 1B. Increase your ability to converse in Mandarin Chinese by acquiring practical vocabulary and phrases that are utilized in many business situations. Classes are taught in an interactive style with a conversational emphasis.
